Museo Marino Marini

Marino Marini was one of the most important Italian artists of the twentieth century, especially as a sculptor. He was born in Pistoia, but he studied art in Florence, before moving to Monza as a teacher and finally arriving at the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan.

Museo Stibbert Official

The Museo Stibbert in Florence is a spectacular house-museum, showcasing the vast private collection of Frederick Stibbert (1838–1906). Its 57 rooms exhibit over 50,000 artifacts with an evocative 19th-century design.

It is most famous for its extraordinary collection of arms and armor, including the life-sized Cavalcade Room with knights, and a significant collection of Japanese Samurai armor. The museum also features costumes (like Napoleon's), paintings, and is surrounded by a free-access Romantic English park.

Museo Del Figurino

The Museo del Figurino Storico in Calenzano Alto, near Florence, offers a unique historical journey using vast collections of military and historical figurines ("soldatini").

Housed in the Castle of Calenzano, the museum's chronological exhibits cover ancient civilizations through to the World Wars, with a focus on education and family-friendly activities. It is renowned for its detailed models, some as small as 5 millimeters, that bring history to life.
